,, My love affair with Chanel Clogs

My next investment target is going to be a pair of clogs made by Chanel. They are chunky, they are awkward and I'M SO IN LOVE! You may be thinking ''Wooden soles? What the f***??" And yes as you look at them, they tend to look uncomfortable to wear, but as the the French say “Il faut souffrir pour etre belle“. One must suffer to be beautiful and I submit myself!

They got their breakthrough shortly after the Chanel Spring RTW 2010 runway. The fact that Alexa Chung was seen with them on the cover of UK VOGUE has only made the clogs even more popular.

I'm a big fan of the raw style. I recently bought some ripped leggins. My plan was actually to make them myself, but while I was trying to kill time I found a pair in an outlet store, fabric, for ridiculously $9. 

You can use them with plenty of different pieces. Last time I wore them, I wanted the leggins to stand out, so I used them together with a simple black dress. To pep up the look I applied red lipstick. 

Besides that I love my ripped leggins, I am also quite crazy for my  new military boots. I bought them on sale for $73 at the mall. I'm not a big fan of over knee boots because I think they make us girls look short (unless you are 6'0 tall). In my eyes, this boots have the perfect length. My legs seem to look way longer!

Another great thing about this boots is the ocean of alternatives; you can wear them with everything from slim jeans to leggins to a short skirt.

The turban is actually a particular Middle Eastern headwear consisting of a long and wide piece of cloth, which is wrapped around your head, perhaps with a brimless hat underneath.

Even though we have been seeing the turban all over the runways. There have not been that many people wearing it on the streets. Actually, I have seen zero wearing it (besides my mum =D).

But if you have the guts to throw yourself into it, then embrace the magic of the turban!

Tips:

Get some fabric and make sure that the color of the fabric makes you look good. When you get to the point where you are looking for some clothing to match the turban; STAY AWAY FROM THE ALADDIN-LOOK!! You want to look chic and not like a character from Aladdin's world, even though the thought of it is kinda cute, but as an example do not mix it with harem pants. Just play it simple. Turn it up with some slim jeans  and a basic top. It is a statement piece, so let it stand out.
